Peanut Power

One of the questions I've been asked most often during my pregnancy is

"What is your craving?"

And I can say, without hesitation

PEANUT BUTTER

And so the OTT peanut butter packed, power cupcake came into being....

plain vanilla cake batter and buttercream with lots of peanut butter added 

I so badly wanted to top it off with a gorgeous piece of golden peanut brittle

but,

after 4 failed batches and 3 different recipes I gave up and used the last failed batch.

It still had that yummy caramel / nutty flavor, it just didn't look very pretty.

If any of you have a fool-proof peanut brittle / praline recipe
